Sorry about the quality, this was a rather spontanious shot.
This is why I can't get anything done. Parrots are trouble. When I'm talking on the phone, he's hanging off the aerial. When I'm on the computer, he's jumping on the keyboard and attacking the mouse. When I'm reading, he's ripping the pages. When I'm eating or drinking, he's frantically trying to get some too. When I'm resting, he's trying to eat my eyebrows and sticking his tongue in my ear. When I'm talking, he's talking louder to out-do me. When I'm laughing, he's trying to squeeze his body into my mouth. When I'm not doing anything, he's nomming on my neck and swinging from my necklace. When I'm crying, he's laughing because he thinks I'm laughing. You have no idea how many times a minute I am saying, "No", to him as he bustles from one thing to the next with unrivaled energy. He is also one of my closest friends. |

What type of Parrot is that? Is it one that can mimic human speech? If so, is it his favorite word?(NO)
He is a rainbow lorikeet, and yes, he can talk. His favourite word by far is, "Hello", and his other favourite is to grab my mouth and say, "Got your beak!"
I am glad you chose to share that photo, i have gotten my cats to stare at the screen and they approve. They are also licking their chops.
